The Human Resources Director is responsible for managing all departmental activities related to administration of human resources in a manner that assures excellent customer service and efficient operations.
• Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
• Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward Clinic goals.
• Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
• Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and anti-harassment.
• Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
• Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
• Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.
• Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental, vision, and disability insurances, retirement plans, earned time off, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
• Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.
• Participates in wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.
• Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
• Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
• Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
• Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services.
• Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings. Maintains Clinic organizational charts and authorizes employee computer access and services via the I.T. department.
• Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals.
• Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
• 5 to 10 years HR experience with a minimum of 3 years management experience.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of focusing on short-term, immediate needs, while maintaining vision for long-term goals.
• Thorough knowledge of all state and federal HR rules and regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and web-based communications.
• English required, bilingual a plus.
3 days onsite, 2 days remote
