Our client is seeking a dynamic and progressive HR business partner to serve as the Division Human Resource Director and support and facilitate the ongoing transformation and growth of the business. The ideal candidate should have a strong human resources generalist background, who can effectively develop, lead and implement a broad range of business aligned HR best practices and initiatives that support the global organization. As a coach and advisor to the leadership team, actively lead/manage change and improve organizational effectiveness through workforce strategy, organizational design, and talent planning and management, in alignment with the growth and innovation strategies of the Division. Help create, promote and sustain a high-performance culture in which leadership behaviors and performance are linked to generate desired business outcomes.
• Partners and provides human resources leadership, consultation and guidance to division and strategic business unit leaders to ensure alignment of HR initiatives with business goals and objectives. Develops and effectively applies HR and business know-how to facilitate the innovation and organizational effectiveness that contributes and supports the business in achieving profitable, sustainable growth.
• Leads a global, cross functional HR team to deliver results with a leadership style that is collaborative, inclusive and balanced in approach. Continuously seeks to improve the quality and effectiveness of the organization through the effective assessment and selection of talent that is scalable and evolved to meet the needs of the business, both today and in the future.
• Plays an integral role in talent review, succession workforce planning processes. Leverages data and workforce analytics for proactive talent planning, working closely with business leaders to select and develop the right talent needed to execute the business strategies and improve organizational readiness.
• Serves as facilitator in change management helping the business leaders think, respond creatively and adapt to complex and diverse business needs and people issues /challenges.
• Actively participates in Corporate HR planning efforts to ensure goals and objectives are in alignment with company strategic objectives. Effectively manages the execution of annual HR processes in a timely and efficient manner.
• Communicates and engages with leadership, as well as the organization, with a focus on driving and improving the employee experience and engagement across the businesses.
• Works collaboratively with HR leadership team to continually innovate and improve HR processes, enhance existing programs, or introduce new initiatives to drive the right business outcomes.
• Works closely with Corporate HR to plan and execute the labor strategy for represented locations within the division.
• Enables and supports the acceleration of the digital transformation of the business and amongst the global HR team. Effectively uses HR metrics and data analytics to make sound decisions and assess the impact/results of HR programs, processes and the HR team.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline required. Master’s degree in business, law or human resources preferred.
• High - caliber, human resources generalist with a minimum of 7-10+ years of progressive HR experience successfully facilitating and supporting organizational change and effectiveness. Minimum 5 years in a leadership role, leading a team of direct reports.
• Prior work experience in a global technology, engineered products and/or diversified manufacturing company required.
• Demonstrated ability in selecting and developing HR professionals with the goal of operating as an effective and responsive internal service group that supports and meets the needs of the business.
• Strategic thinker, with the ability to execute at the operational level. Uses data and organizational metrics to provide human capital insights and solutions.
• Detail and goal-oriented with a passion for excellence. Has the flexibility to deal with multiple and changing priorities while focused on delivering great customer service and quality work product. Resilience to manage a heavy workload from time to time.
• A hands-on, pro-active practical approach and a track record of delivering desired outcomes to support the business. Demonstrated ability and understanding of M&A, due diligence, and integration processes.
• Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with management and employees. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, high tolerance for ambiguity and change are essential.
• Works effectively across organization boundaries, encourages teamwork and a sense of partnership. Excellent verbal and written communication skills – ability to engage and interact with all levels of the organization.
• High integrity and ethical standards required. Forward thinking and strategic with respect to HR processes and systems, creating a climate for change.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
