The Sr. Director ensures the effective and competitive compensation programs including base salary, commissions, bonus, and equity which reward and retain employees within established financial goals. Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations on data protection and all compensation plans. A driver of accuracy, this role will ensure compensation procedures are documented and consistently followed.
• Assess and develop overall compensation programs including base pay, incentive and equity recognition to be consistent with the company compensation philosophy which is market-based, performance-based and business-driven.
• Develop a merit budget and manage the focal cycle. Manage ongoing salary administration processes to ensure compliance with compensation policies.
• Manage the evaluation of new roles and re-evaluation of existing roles when the business situation changes. Manage annual market analysis of benchmark jobs. Develop and participate in the Radford survey to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine company’s competitive position. Prepare job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties, and requirements definitions, levels and slotting with possible migration to market reference approach.
• Manage the evaluation of the sales compensation plan designs, make recommendations to management and Director of HR for design changes based on a strategic plan for the coming year.
• Design and delivery of integrated performance management process, including approach, tools, communication and training methods.
• Lead and manage the performance of direct reports while providing support, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
• Collaborate with Finance to review and process payouts for quarterly bonus and profit-sharing
• Reconcile month-end and quarterly stock reports
• Lead Merit and Annual Competitive Review, build analysis and supporting materials
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business/equivalent, CCP preferred, PHR/SPHR certification preferred
• 10+ work-related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Global Compensation, Sales Compensation, and Stock Plan Administration experience preferred
• 5+ years leading HR Function/Team with a focus on Compensation
• Knowledgeable in compensation market analysis, plan design and administration
• Ability to interface effectively and establish trust with employees, managers, and groups at all levels in the company
• Ability to build strong partnerships with line managers
• Strong sense of ethics and confidentiality concerning employee and business issues
• Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word. (MS Office suite, particularly Excel) HRIS experience
• Attention to detail and exceptional follow-up skills
• Strong analytical skill and attention to detail
• Experienced in compensation best practices
• Ability to work independently on various projects
• Excellent organizational, process and program management skills
• Demonstrated skill using Radford, Mercer and other surveys
• Experience in using HR Systems such as Ulti Pro
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
