This role provides leadership and support to the senior executive position (CNO) responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions/services within the hospital organization.
The role will assume responsibility for assisting in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unit level.
Role assumes 24/7 responsibility of Director s assigned areas.
The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Perinatal Services to round out their nursing leadership team who has the following leadership talents:
• Clinically knowledgeable professional Registered Nurse who actively participates in creating a professional environment and advocates implementation of evidence-based practice and standards of care.

• Properly allocates resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and maximum productivity while maintaining high quality services.

• Proven leadership ability and hospital operational ability.
• Ability to serve as role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing
Requirements:
• Academic degree in nursing: Bachelor’s required. Master’s degree preferred
• Healthcare Provider BLS
• Active California RN license, or in process
• Minimum 3 years in a Director role in Labor & Delivery (In times of high census, will step in to assist staff in L&D)
• Current or previous work experience in a hospital Director role in the State of California and knowledge of Title 22 Regulations.
• Minimum of 5+ years in Perinatal Services required, to include experience as an Operating Room Staff RN.
• Knowledge and experience in providing safe, proficient, quality nursing care.
• Excellent problem solving, listening and language skills.
• Must be fluent in spoken and written English with proficient writing skills. Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Strong computer skills and proficient in computer applications such as MS Office, Optilink Staffing and Scheduling, Medhost/Cerner E.H.R., Kronos.
