This role will partner with our executive team, our Board, our Total Rewards and global HR team and many other leaders throughout the company to lead the design, development and implementation of our Total Rewards strategies and programs for our client’s global workforce. This includes executive compensation, broad-based compensation, equity, benefits, recognition programs, service programs, as well as other areas related to total rewards. You will be providing leadership, management and direction for the global Total Rewards organization and ensuring that the Total Rewards programs are aligned with business strategies.
• Partner with senior leadership to define, develop, communicate, and execute the Total Rewards philosophy, vision, and strategy in support of the company’s short- and long-term business objectives.
• Define the technology path for improving both our member experience as well as the administration of our Total Rewards programs.
• Consult with business partners at all levels in creating effective programs that help drive the desired behaviors and business results.
• Lead preparation and/or delivery of all Total Rewards related information to the Compensation Committee as well as the Board of Directors.
• Oversee all annual processes associated with Total Rewards.
• Develop effective analytics and metrics to influence program direction and monitor business impact.
• Manage and maintain an appropriate set of vendors to augment our services and
• Monitor claims experience, vendor programs, plan benchmarks and costs of benefit and compensation plans; recommend improvement and implement approved changes.
• Monitors regulatory compliance and audits.
• Provide Total Rewards consultation, support and active involvement for union negotiations and mergers/acquisitions/divestitures activity.
• Lead a dispersed team of Total Rewards professionals while fostering a collaborative, values-driven ‘one-HR’ team culture of high standards, strong productivity and innovation.
• Model a business-partner culture and mentality across the Total Rewards team
Qualifications:
• 15+ years in development, implementation, and execution of Total Rewards strategies
• Progressive and scaled leadership roles, including 5+ years holding the top Total Rewards role in a public company.
• 5+ years working directly with the CHRO, CEO and Board (Compensation Committee) on executive / equity compensation strategies and programs is strongly preferred.
• Extensive executive compensation experience, including equity programs and other LTI programs.
• Experience with design, development and administration of broad-based pay and incentive programs
• Extensive knowledge of and experience leading benefits organizations, including health and welfare and retirement programs.
• One or more certifications or demonstrated technical experience in compensation, benefits, HR leadership and/or consulting; CCP designation preferred.
• Previous exposure and experience with collective bargaining and M&A support
• Broad exposure to corporate compensation and benefit trends and strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS, DOL, HIPAA and other benefit–related regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in insurance, business administration or related field.
• Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• Certifications in executive compensation, CEBS, CCP or similar compensation designation preferred.
• Ability to travel 10-20% domestic and international.
